My name is Sydney McCoy, I am a junior at State studying Communication Media with minors in Journalism and Linguistics. This page tells you a little bit abour me!
In order from left to right: me, my friend Louise
Ever since I was little I have wanted to be on Television. I was exposed to film and production at a young age, as I was on multiple cooking competition shows and did theater. I always love to put on a show- and light up in front of the camera. I would love to be a news anchor for WRAL, and possibly become an investigative jouranlist on a program like Dateline.
Here is a link to one of my first interviews on WRAL:
As a transfer student, I had to adjust quickly to State while never being on campus. Being sent home as a freshman and then starting online at another institution was a hard field to naviagte, so I became as involved as I could. I joined Alpha Delta Pi and became the Community Service Specalist for a year. I planned over 200 service events for the chpater during my time in office. I also became an ambassador for the Chass college, a Public Relation head for the Krispy Kreme Challenge.
I am from Apex, North Carolina born and raised. I frequently go home to see my parents and two sibilings. We also have multiple animals including a German Shepard named Sheba and a cat named Bruity.
At school, I have a cat named Zorro, he is pictured to the right. He is like my child and two fish, Thing 1 and Thing 2.
I have a few jobs that I juggle with school. Over the summer I nanny two little girls near North Hills almost full time during the week. During school, I babysit weekly and take a little girl to gymnastics. Besides that I teach piano lessons to kids weekly and have since my Freshman year of highschool. Most importantly, I work at State's ACC Network. I have done camera, graphics, and ultimately replay.
Thank you so much for viweing my website and I hope you learned a little about me!
